My name is Dan Moxon and I've mainly been a musician in East Vancouver since graduating from SFU with a film degree in 2004. My main musical project is a band called BEND SINISTER who have toured Canada, USA, Europe and released many albums over the years. I've also released several solo albums under DAN MOXON and still play shows regularity.
Around 2011, after going from odd job to odd job around a busy tour schedule and musical gigs I started to casually buy and sell vintage finds.I sold everything from music gear to taxidermy to artwork and then most often furniture. I started Dan's vintage finds @dansvintagefinds instagram in 2012 and over the years have gravitated more towards mid century modern Scandinavian wood vintage furniture and artwork, lamps and other decor from that era. I have a double garage workshop where all the pieces are restored by either myself, or my Bend Sinister drummer and bandmate Nick Petrowich, who has worked with me for many years.
Each restoration is done by hand according to what the piece needs. We often add legs, alter or repurpose larger pieces to make them more useful for modern life. I love that my hobby for buying and selling cool vintage furniture has now blossomed into a full time job.
